Use your Garmin Connect e-mail It will be your login here, and we use it to sign in to Garmin. You can't change it later. With any other address the sync will not work.
The address you use to sign in at connect.garmin.com.
Pick a new one, at least 8 characters. Your Garmin password comes later, in a separate step.
